Ja, endlich hab ich mal wieder was an der Nähmaschine fabriziert. Eigentlich muß ich ja stricken, ich weiß, aber dieses ist das Abschlußgeschenk für meinen Secret Pal 2, und dass muß vor dem 31. Oktober in den USA sein.. Also, da musste ich eben mal wieder nähen. :o) Ich zeige die "Tischdecke" hier, da es ja das letzte Päckchen werden wird, also kann ich mich zu erkennen geben. Falls also jemand dieses etwas demnächst im Briefkasten hat und zufällig hier liest (was ich nicht glaube..), dann weiß sie, wer ihr SP2 ist. :o)

Yes, finally I did something on my sewing machine again. I now I have to knit, but this is the last gift to my Secret Pal2 and it has to be in the States before Oct. 31... So I had to sew something. :o) I´m showing the Tablerunner here because is it the last package, so I can reveal myself.. So when someone has this thing in her mailbox soon and if shes reading here (wich I dont think!) she´ll know who her SP2 is. :o)

Heute kam meine erste Sendung von "Yarn of the month" an, und ich muß sagen, dass ich das dann gleich mal wieder kündigen werde. Das ist mir die Sache nicht wert. Vier kleine Tütchen mit einem Fitzelchen Wolle drin, die wohl nicht mal für ne anständige Maschenprobe langt.. Naja, alles mal ausprobieren. *gg*


Today my first package of the "Yarn of the month" program arrived and I must say, that I´m going to quit my membership with them. I think thats not worth the money. 4 tiny Ziplogs with a smal tot of wool in it, probably not even enough to do a good swatch out of it... Well at least I tried it. :o)

Es ist Sonntag morgen, und ich habe mich gerade beim http://www.yarnofthemonth.com/ Club angemeldet.. Das hörte sich einfach soo spannend an, mal sehen, ob es auch so spannend ist. :o)
Gestern habe ich geschummelt, und habe mal MPs gestrickt, nur mal so, um was anderes zu machen, Mama fetzt die Krawatten ganz gut weg, ich konzentriere mich gerade auf die Kniestrümpfe und musste mal was anderes sehen!
Ich hatte ne Kone Schurwolle multicolor bei Ebay ersteigert und fand das Garn sehr kratzig, aber ich dachte, mach mal ne MP und wasch sie, mal sehen, was draus wird. Als ich sie aus der Waschmaschine holte, war sie zumindest weicher und sah eigentlich ganz interessant aus... Nachher knips ich sie mal, wenn ich bei der Wäsche war.. Ausserdem habe ich geguckt, ob Giotto von Colinette für Lövlund von C.T. Hamilton passt, bin mir aber noch nicht ganz sicher...
Aber naja, der Mensch brauch auch mal "private knitting"

Yesterday I cheated, and knitted some swatches, just to do something different. My mom is real quick with the ties and I´m concentrating on the Kneehigh socks and I had to do something else inbetween!
I got a cone 100% pure wool in a multicolor from Ebay and it seemed very scratchy to me but I thought I should give it a try and swatch and wash it. After washing it wasnt so scratchy anymore and looked quite nice.. Besides I tested, if Giotto from Colinette is suitable for Lövlund from C.T. Hamilton and I´m not sure on that issue by now..
Human need some "private knitting" inbetween!!

Ja, ich weiß, hier wird langweilig, aber es ist wirklich nichts nennenswertes passiert, und Ihr wollt ja auch nicht täglich von meinem Krawattenstress hören, oder? Aber ist das nicht klasse, das in der Winter Interweave knits gestrickte Krawatten sind??? Somit hatte mein Bekannter wohl die richtige Modeidee. :o)

Yes, I know this blog is getting boring, but there really is nothing to tell...and you dont want to hear about my tie-stress all the time, dont you? But isnt it great that there are knitted ties in the new Issue of Interweave knits ? So my friend had the right fashion-idea. :o)

Das ist mein Applikations Round Robin, der gestern hier ankam! Ist der nicht schön geworden ? Nun muss ich ihn "nur noch" Quilten... :o)

This is my addon applique Round robin which came home to me yesterday. Isnt it beautiful??? Now I "only" have to do the quilting...

300 Tage existiert mein Blog nun, nette Zahl. :o) Ich sitze hier und stichel fleissig an meinen Krawatten, es scheint nicht weniger zu werden. :o), buche gerade ein paar "Auspann/Kreativ-Tage" für meinen Mann im http://www.kukuun.com und träume von Projekten, die ich nach Vollendung dieses Auftrages stricken und mir dann vielleicht auch leisten kann. Auf jeden Fall möchte ich endlich mal Noro Garne ausprobieren... Ich habe mir gerade Das 2te Buch von Cornelia Tuttle Hamilton bestellt, und dieses Mustermöchte ich auch unbedingt haben!!!

Nice number. :o) I´m sitting here, knitting ties, they seem not to be less. :o), I´m booking some "relax-be creative-days" for my husband in the http://www.kukuun.com and I´m dreaming from future projects which I might can afford after this huge Tie-job! First of all I want to try the Noro yarns.... I just ordered the new book from Cornelia Tuttle Hamilton and I also want to do thisjacket. Just need to get the pattern.
